A.D.D Express expands fleet with four new vehicles.
The Rochdale-based haulier has taken delivery of four new MAN TGX trucks as it strives to keep its fleet in top condition.
Operating from its 80,000 sq ft facility, the company provides leading distribution services to customers across Manchester and the Northwest, with an additional 60,000 sq ft site in Elland ensuring even the most complex of demands can be facilitated.
The four new vehicles will be replacing two of the business’s older vehicles, while also adding to the overall fleet size, which already comprises over 50 vehicles. There are another four trucks due within the next month.
Explaining the decision behind the recent fleet investment, Managing Director David Fairbrother comments: “We like to replace our vehicles on a regular basis. In the long run, we believe this saves the company money and more importantly prevents mechanical downtime, so we can maximise time on the roads to maintain the highest service levels.
“The new trucks are all Euro 6, the most modern vehicles available, to provide extra safety and comfort for our drivers as well as making the vehicles as environmentally friendly as possible.”
Offering a complete logistics solution, including general haulage, storage and fulfilment, and pallet network services through Pall-Ex Group, the additional vehicles ensure A.D.D Express is fully equipped to continually grow the business and meet a wide range of customer requirements.
A.D.D’s Rochdale site is also home to Pall-Ex’s Northern Hub, a state-of-the-art transhipment hub which provides extra capacity and operational efficiency to the Pall-Ex network. The facility accommodates 4,000 pallets per night and offers Pall-Ex Group members industry-leading turnaround times, optimising the running of the network and ensuring customers receive a first-class service.
The new trucks, proudly displaying A.D.D Express’ striking livery, will be visible on the roads across the country, being used for collections and deliveries in the local area, shunting at its two depots and regular runs to the Pall-Ex hub in Leicestershire.
David adds: “The company was established 33 years ago now and ever since purchasing the first vehicles, we have always insisted on having the newest, best looking and most reliable vehicles on the road. The company reinvests heavily within the business to ensure the operation is the very best it can be, be that in our staff, our vehicles, or our state-of-the-art premises.”
